Parolo: Your personal vocabulary trainer
With the Parolo app for iOS you get your personal vocabulary trainer to train and learn Danish.
Parolo gives you the possibility to learn and train Danish letters, numbers, words and phrases whenever and where you want, combining ICT didactic and language acquisition in the palm of your hand: You can listen to the words and phrases, read the texts, see illustrations and get a translation.
The App: Parolo is a language training app for beginners. With Parolo you get the possibility to train the important aspects of language acquisition: listening, reading and speaking.
Listening: You can listen to recordings of all sounds, words and phrases.
Reading: A letter, number or text is connected to any sounds, making any comparison with the sound easy and strengthening the users linguistic awareness. Also translations are displayed at the same place, easing understanding of any utterance and phrase. Furthermore letters and numbers will be parts of the buttons containing the recordings of the letters of the Alphabet and the ordinal and cardinal numbers, and pictures will illustrate the phrases, all of which will support the understanding of any of the sound recordings.
Speaking: After listening, you can try to say and record the sound yourself, comparing your utterance with the natives speakers. You may listen and record as many times you want, giving you the time and place train both linguistic awareness and actual utterances in Danish. This combination offers a strong and personal platform to build up your Danish skills.

The packages: Parolo is made up of packages containing various material for language acquisition, e.g. the Alphabet, ordinal and cardinal numbers, phrases concerning countries, nationality and languages. Soon packages with job descriptions and information as well as the first nouns package will be released and much more will follow.
The idea: With Parolo, language learning and vocabulary acquisition becomes a personal experience. Whether you are doing classes or train Danish with friends and family, Parolo gives you the possibility to train and focus on the sounds and phrases that are relevant for your progression.
Language learning is part cognitive and part social: On the one hand you need relevant input and specific training to master the new and relevant sounds, letters and phrases, on the other you need an environment to use and communicate the language. Parolo offers you the possibility to build up a strong platform of cognitive understanding and motoric skills training, better enabling you to use the language in relevant settings, whether for work and education or with friends and family.
